New for the 2019 season CCM has brought out a new Jetspeed skate, the FT2 which like it's predecessor is made of a full one piece composite material that is designed increase the energy transfer in each stride. This feature with the addition of a new quick release blade system, upgraded footbed for enhanced comfort and stability are just among a few elements that CCM has done to enhance the new Jetspeed skate.
They have taken the Liteframe 360 technology and brought it up to a new level with LiteFrame 360 EVO. This new structure is a seamless one piece boot that removes any stitching or glue in parts of the boot which will in turn provide a better overall fit to your foot making the skate feel like an extension of your foot.
Now on the FT2 is a redesigned metatomic tongue with an asymmetrical design to better wrap around your foot while still providing the right amount of protection without the bulk.
HOLDER & RUNNER
This was the biggest change as now CCM has come out with the new SpeedBlade XS holder with the ability to swap out blades on the bench without any tools needed. The dial system is designed to keep the blade secure which should help maximize the energy transfer from the boot to the blade. Solely on the Jetspeed FT2 is the new XS1 black steel which provides an additional 2mm of blade height to provide better turns and overall performance is also specially treated to keep it's edge lasting longer.
Helping these skates dry out even quicker is the upgraded TotalDri Pro + liner which provides the same level of comfort and feel as the TotalDri Pro liner from the FT1. CCM has brought over from the FT1 the abraison patch which now is on on the top three eyelets for increased durability in those high wear zones from either the shin pad or tongue.
CCM has simplified the footbed story in your skates with the Orthomove system which features removable attachments to best suit your arch type, having the ability to change the type of arch will help you feel more connected with the boot not only comfort.
