New for 2022 is an update to CCM's Low Kick family, the Ribcor series. The Ribcor is optimal for that player looking to get a quick shot off while keeping it accurate and consistent, the new 86K gives that player improved value by bringing some tech down to this lower price point.
CONSTRUCTION
CCM has the same Ergonomic shaft geometry on this stick which means the shape will change with a more traditional feel at the top and going to a more asymmetrical feel as you get closer to the bottom where the kick point is. This design improves your control of the stick while aiding in generating the energy to get to the blade for maximum pop on your shot.
The blade on the 86K is CCM's Ascent 2 blade with peel-ply texture, this improves the blade feel by having it softer towards the heel for puck control and then increasing in stiffness as it gets towards the toe of the blade which is ideal for a low kick stick.
