Building from the success of the previous Supreme family Bauer had to build upon it and with the new M5 Pro has built it up this year. The new M5 pro features some upgrades from the MACH and previous Supreme pads, things like a CURC composite reinforced core, C.O.R Tech Plus Calf plate and a much easier strapping system.
The makeup of the pad has the same C.O.R Tech Plus skin for great for improved rebound control and with added CURV built in the pad to help keep it's overall shape. With having C.O.R Tech along the inside edge of the pad will make you get across that crease easier than with traditional Jenpro.
STRAPPING & BOOT ANGLE
Holding you in to the pad is an improved Tune-Fit + system that has evolved throughout the year and this versions has a V shape to it that is adjustable for either a tighter or looser feel but is fixed in it's positioning. This V shape will snuggly wrap around your calf keeping you connected to the pad and they have also extended the length of the calf wrap for even better coverage without adding any weight to the pad thanks to Bauer's Aerolite foam.
We see Bauer going with a 120 degree soft boot rather, working with the base of the pad being stiffer in design going with a soft boot gives a much better feel when pushing off and even just standing waiting for the play to come down to you.
