Re-designed for this season the new Tacks A-V Pro has been tweaked to have a more up to date style mid kick point along with the use of Sigma STP carbon and the Variable V shape geometry.
FLEX PROFILE
With the game changing and getting quicker players need to be able to get there shot off as quick as possible limiting the amount of time for those big loading shots, CCM has realized this and adjusted the flex profile of the new Tacks AS-V Pro to assist that player. You can still unload the big power slap shot but with it's new up to date flex profile you will be able to get off your wrist shots with just as much power and consistency.
SHAFT CONSTRUCTION & GRIP
Knowing this stick is meant to allow for some big loading power CCM has a new Sigma STP Carbon weave which works with the Nanolite Carbon Layering to increase the stick durability and overall balance. The Nanolite Carbon Layer is an advanced layering technique that enhances the load of the stick and brings some added durability as well. CCM has it's Skeleton + taper at the hosel section of the stick to bring even more durability to that section of the stick and also bringing a more efficiency to each shot without increasing the weight of the stick. All this combined with a new " V " shape for the shaft geometry gives you even better control and consistency with your shot, especially the wrist shot. Providing even more control is the Superfast Microfeel grip which has raised texture grips along the middle section of the shaft to help with puck control for a more natural feel.
BLADE CONSTRUCTION
Knowing that this stick is designed for enhanced feel and a more powerful load this makes the puck stay on the blade longer so we need a bit softer feel built in it. What CCM has done is upgraded the Acufeel blade that applies Sigma STP in the construction for improved durability. Even though this blade is softer than the other stick families from CCM it still has the right amount of stiffness to make your shots controllable and accurate.
