The Tacks line of protective gear has always been designed to provide maximum protection and the new AS5 Pro Shin Pad not only does that but also with a new design that gives you even better mobility. The big change with the new AS5 Pro Shin Pad is it's ASD construction that has been engineered to give you that pro level protection while keeping you comfortable and maximizing your range of motion.
Knee & Shin Caps
Keeping with the same pro level protection and the use of their JDP design that makes sure your knee at the cap is not connected to the cap to make sure you don't get that impact directly to your knee. CCM has also lined the inside of the knee cap with a D3O donut inside the knee to give you that extra level of impact protection( Sr only) and comfort with a comfort donut. Moving to a more anatomical design the AS5 Pro shin cap has a thinner shape combined with D3O gives you pro level protection with additional mobility. For added durability we have an abrasion bottom pad with D3O to help reduce wear on the inside of the skate.
Liner
For those that go tongues in or tongues out we have a fully adjustable liner that can be moved for whichever style you prefer and giving you the right amount of protection.
Calf Guard
For those times where you get in front of a shot and it catches you not where you wanted it we have that covered here with an Exposed injected foam calf guard with additional D3O built in to help reduce the impact to your calf.
