Building on the success of the V10 stock and custom graphics now available we have come up with some custom graphics to make your life easier. We have also made some subtle changes to the strapping of the pad to fit more comfortable for all goalies. We also on our Vintage sets have gone with Vintage sewn on graphics on the middle knee roll. For the RRC straps at the calf we have gone with a large at the top as we heard people found the stock too short and a medium at the bottom. For the toe bridge we have gone with a traditional skate lace toe bridge but you do have the ability to swap out to an aftermarket bungee system.
CONSTRUCTION
The build of the pad we have gone with a stock stiff thigh & stock soft boot to help maintain the overall height of the pad, visually they have a single external outer break to help with some added flex and shaping of the pads. As it was with the V9 Pro Carbon we have added carbon built in the core of the pad for a livelier rebound to help you get ready for the next shot and to help reduce weight and improve the balance and feel of the pad we have a thinner top core. One big change from previous Velocity pads is going with a flat boot that allows for improved skate movement when dropping down to your butterfly, this flat boot doesn't affect the sizing of the pad dramatically so if you were in a 33+2 VE8 or V9 pad you would still be a 33+2 in the V10. Along the inside edge of the pad is Vaughn's Quick-slide material to help you get across the crease even faster than before.
STRAPPING
The V10 series we notice Vaughn removing the Professor style strap and going with a more customizable double calf strap that can be placed on the outside or inside of the calf area, the straps are removeable so if you wanted to remove one or both that can easily be done without doing any damage to the pads. The outer calf strap is a longer more elastic strap to make it easier to get to the desired fit for your style. We also see Vaughn removing the boot strap given the trend for going no boot strap.
