The new SLR3 glove is considerably lighter & more balanced with improved protection and durability compared to previous models. We see they have gone with a ShockShield foam to help deaden the puck for reduced pop outs along with adding kevlar through the palm for improved protection and a pro palm stock option.
The closure of the glove is the same natural feel you expect from the Ventus family with a more pre-formed glove break for even better feel. Vaughns gone with a reinforced finger perimiter edge and a single T that has a carbon reinforced T-top for improved stability.
Inside the glove we have a padded wrist strap with the strap itself positioned closer to the hand for improved wrist flex. Helping reduce any odor of bacteria from staying in the glove the base interior has been treated with an Antimicrobial agent to help with that.
Keeping with the same great balance found on Vaughn's blockers the new SLR3 keeps that same great feel. They have gone with a higher hand position on this model to increase downward coverage area, we also have a larger side shield for greater coverage which also overlaps the front board for an overall stiffer construction.
Providing added finger protection they have gone with a molded dimensional finger shape that increases coverage, they have also separated the index finger from the main fingers to keep the protection & flexibility that is needed. The palm of the blocker is a VX suede material with an Antimicrobial grip overlay. The index finger has no inside seam for improved wear and a fully adjustable wrist strap with a more flexible cuff for increased range of motion.
Inside we have a thick Super HD foam board with a pure carbon insert over the front and side board to really give that pop goalies are after.
